About us

The Dew Drop in was taken over 2007 by brother’s in-law Ronan Kinsella and Paul Lenehan. Always known as a busy and well run establishment the Dew Drop made a name for itself in the 70’s and 80’s as a great destination for live entertainment with all kinds of bands and musicians descending on the large function room. Famous for great pub food the Dew Drop had become a well established landmark.

However in 2007 on their arrival to the Dew Drop, Ronan and Paul with over 30 years of experience and knowledge behind them thought that the pub needed some fresh ideas and a facelift. After careful consideration to what was a very traditional pub they introduced a wide range of craft beers and food with a modern Irish theme. From that day in October 2007 the food business has gone from strength to strength and has become a modern iconic gastro pub.

Whether you are living close by or looking for an excuse to visit Kill, you’ll receive a warm welcome and a great dining experience at Dew Drop. • Was in the area and dropped in for lunch. The place looks great and the staff where great also. Wings to start where so good. One side of dip is just not enough dip when you order the large portion to share. Something to think about! Burger was excellent with chips and relish. Desserts went down well. Will be back for sure.

Visited Kildare on a family trip driving around Ireland. Relied on trip advisor to guide us to numerous food stops along the way. With a range of delicious food options, friendly and helpful staff and plenty of beers on draft this cozy little pub was a perfect stop on our first night in town. Rebecca was especially helpful with recommendations to see and do in near by Dublin. The service here was quick and the atmosphere had us feeling right at home.

Dinner in the above Gastropub last evening. Cannot recommend it highly enough, food always excellent & staff friendly and efficient. Always busy, but they manage to squeeze us in, thankfully. So go there, enjoy, but don't take our table!! Ps the salmon is absolutely delicious.
